Calliope Simmons, a former wealthy Young Lady of the Simmons Corporation, turned destitute and poor as the family business was on the verge of bankruptcy. Devastated, her father landed in the hospital. To raise money for her father’s medical bills, Calliope was forced by her stepmother to marry Young Master Preston Ford, a wealthy heir turned vegetative as a result from a car accident.
