Adrian Leigh transmigrated to the Kingdom of Xosa and became the half-witted Duke of Yarwick. During Prince Jason's coup,Adrian played the fool and surrendered the imperial seal in exchange for exile to Brimholt. On the journey, he eliminated Bob Zinke, the loyal spy Jason had dispatched to keep him in check. In Brimholt, he outwitted the local governor, Thomas Webb, thwarted his schemes three times and gradually won over the Baelmar faction. Eventually, he returned to the capital with the coffins of the Three Dukes, wiped out Jason's clique, restored order to the realm, and ascended the throne as emperor.
